This is my final year project for my degree. The design I went for is an attachment for any mountain bike, to replace the front forks.  So it is attached to your own bike.  One of the main design features is that the cutting cylinder blade is wider than the wheels.  This enables you to cut along the edge of your lawn without the wheel falling off the lawn.

 
The main advantages of a human powered lawnmower are: 
  • That it uses a renewable energy source i.e. you to power it, so generates no pollution.
  • It gives the user exercise, and some may find it enjoyable to use.
  • It's quiet in operation.

This is the future of Lawn mowing.
